my little den piled with books on Stalin, library back issues of the New Yorker, various Lonely Planet guides, and of course Sontag. I leave my pants on the floor because it is a heated floor, and when I get up in the morning it is like they've been in the dryer.

Finally got a basil plant, spices here are... well, I got a basil plant and it makes me happy.

 

 also, I've gotten several comments that my hat I brought from NY looks like a "Russian" hat (i.e. eek)

so I got a "Czech" hat, now I probably look like an old man.  You can't win.
